10/30/00 Seattle, WA - Practice Partner, a leader in clinical and practice management software for physician offices, announced today the availability of Microsoft SQL Server, a popular database management system, to its customers. The addition of SQL Server broadens Practice Partner's database choices, which also include Oracle, C-Tree Plus, and C-Tree Server, and further enhances the scalability of Practice Partner's Practice Partner solutions for practices of different sizes.
SQL Server is a fully featured relational database management system (RDBMS) that performs well across workstation and mobile applications, providing support for large databases and complex queries. Its English Query interface lets users apply the tools they know best to mine and analyze data, relieving costly technical staff of the responsibility of translating users' questions into technical queries. In addition, users can develop a variety of enterprise solutions, such as system-wide reporting and analysis, as well as data modeling and decision support. SQL Server also gives users the ability to work with data reliably from the office, over the Internet, or on the road.
"We are pleased to be one of the few in the electronic medical records and practice management industry that offer customers multiple database platforms," said Bruce Kleaveland, Practice Partner's Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "The combination of integrated practice solutions and choice of database platforms allows us to tailor a solution to fit our customer's needs."
