Practice Partner and MD Consult Announce Distribution Agreement

10/25/1999 Seattle, WA - Practice Partner, a leader in the development and marketing of innovative medical practice management products, today announced a distribution agreement with MD Consult. Under this agreement Practice Partner will market MD Consult's innovative web-based clinical information service to its customers. In accordance with this agreement, the two companies will also collaborate to integrate MD Consult's service into Practice Partner's web-enabled electronic medical record (EMR) software, Practice Partner Patient Records.

The distribution agreement will bring a comprehensive range of full-text clinical resources to the desktops of physician practices and hospitals. Practice Partner's customers will be able to access these services directly from within Practice Partner Patient Records. Future collaborative development will give physicians one-click access to trusted clinical content on any topic found in a patient's chart.

The MD Consult service integrates more than 35 leading medical books, full-text articles from over 45 renowned medical journals, MEDLINE and other databases, complete prescribing information for over 30,000 medications, peer-reviewed clinical practice guidelines, customizable patient education handouts, personalized daily clinical updates, and online Category One continuing medical education programs (CME). The integration of these services will further increase the power of Practice Partner's Practice Partner software offers complete integration of practice management and clinical information and has helped thousands of practices migrate towards a paperless practice environment.
