Practice Partner to Participate in Intelligent Medical Practice Exhibit at AAFP Assembly

09/29/2004 Seattle, WA — Practice Partner announced its participation in the Intelligent Medical Practice exhibit at the 2004 American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Scientific Assembly. This exhibit provides interactive demonstrations of how an EHR enhances quality of care, improves patient safety and streamlines workflow in a medical practice. Practice Partner will demonstrate the connectivity of its electronic health record, Practice Partner Patient Records, with Instant Medical History, a patient interview application from Primetime Medical Software, Inc. With this interface, a patient can enter their medical history prior to the patient visit – either over the web or using a waiting room kiosk. This information then automatically updates relevant sections of the patient’s chart in Practice Partner.

Practice Partner is participating in the Intelligent Medical Practice exhibit as part of its involvement with the AAFP’s Partners for Patients EHR initiative. The AAFP developed this program, which includes 11 core health information technology companies, in order to provide affordable, standards-based EHRs to medical practices.

The AAFP Scientific Assembly takes place on October 14-16 in Orlando, with a press event at 8:00 a.m. on October 14th to debut the Intelligent Medical Practice exhibit. “We are excited to participate in this exhibit as part of our involvement with the Partners for Patients program,” said Dr. Andrew Ury, M.D., founder and president of Practice Partner.

AAFP Assembly attendees can visit Practice Partner at Booth # 2066 for a live demonstration of Practice Partner.
