Andrew Ury, M.D., Assumes New Leadership Role for McKesson Provider Technologies
ATLANTA, Septembre 25, 2008 - Effective October 1, 2008, Dr. Andy Ury will become Chief Medical Officer in the McKesson Provider Technologies organization under Dr. Bill O’Connor, Vice President, Medical Affairs. Previously, Dr. Ury was Chief Medical Officer for the Physician Practice Solutions group. In his new role, Dr. Ury will be involved in a broad array of McKesson medical software offerings. He will offer industry insights and strategic recommendations to the McKesson Senior Leadership team regarding the needs of health care providers. He will also continue his involvement in industry and standards organizations such as the EHR Association, CCHIT, and HL7.
Dr. Ury has been an integral part of Practice Partner’s success since its founding in 1983. With McKesson’s industry prominence, this new position offers Dr. Ury a unique platform from which to positively impact the delivery of healthcare.
