05/25/2006 SEATTLE – Practice Partner, a leader in the development of electronic health records (EHR) and
practice management software, received the Best Electronic Medical Record Award for the third
consecutive year at the Medical Records Institute’s (MRI) prestigious 2006 TEPR (Towards the
Electronic Patient Record) Awards.
The 2006 awards, announced on May 22, 2006, gave Practice Partner’s EHR product, Patient Records,
first honors in the Small Practice category and third honors in the Medium/Large Practice category.
This was the third consecutive year Patient Records has been a finalist in both categories, a first for any EHR vendor. This is also the third consecutive year that Patient Records has been named Best EMR.
Andrew G. Ury, M.D., founder and CEO of Practice Partner, commented, “To be judged so highly for
both small and large practices out of dozens of EHR vendors is very gratifying and underscores our
mission to provide solutions that help practices increase productivity and improve quality of care.”
TEPR is considered one of health IT’s premier events, showcasing close to 200 EHR and related
technology vendors. The annual TEPR Awards are a highlight of the show and considered by many to
be the most important and high-profile EHR awards today. The award selection process has two
phases. The first phase took place during March and April 2006 when an independent panel of judges
reviewed the award applications, scored each entry, and selected the top three finalists for each
category. Those finalists presented and/or demonstrated their solutions live to a panel of independent
judges. The 24-judge panel was led by Barry Blumenfeld, MD, MS, Associate Director, Clinical
Informatics R&D, Partners Healthcare System and Scott Faulkner, CEO, InterFix, LLC.
