04/24/2002 Seattle, WA - Practice Partner, a leader in electronic medical records and practice management systems, today announced the launch of its eagerly anticipated Patient Records and Appointment Scheduler version 7.5. With version 7.5, Practice Partner Patient Records and Appointment Scheduler adds to its already robust feature set.
Practice Partner Patient Records version 7.5 has many new and innovative features that enhance the efficiency of the Practice Partner applications. Some examples include:
- Provides the foundation for an unprecedented level of integration between the Practice Partner suite of products.
- Formularies: When users write prescriptions, the application will automatically cross-reference the patient's insurance coverage, determining whether the prescription is covered.
- ECG Integration: Users will be able to run real-time, diagnostic 12-lead electro cardiograms directly from Practice Partner Patient Records. All ECG data is stored directly in the Practice Partner EMR.
- Transfer to Portable: Users can download data from Practice Partner to a portable computer that is not linked to the main system. Users can add new progress notes, prescribe Rx, perform an ECG on the portable and synchronize the data back to the main system.
- Hyperlinks on Progress Note: Hyperlinks can now be placed directly into the progress note. These links can direct the user to all local links: URL, wav file, and images.
Practice Partner Appointment Scheduler Version 7.5 adds new features that enhance the easy and flexibility of scheduling. Some examples include:
- Transfer to Outlook: Users can now download their schedules into MS Outlook, which can then be downloaded to Palm Pilots or Pocket PCs.
- Type of Visit Colors: Type of visit information will now be color-coded.
- Visit Tracking: This feature allows users to track the number of visits allotted by a patient's insurance. The program automatically tallies the visits after each appointment is made and notifies the user when the number of visits exceeds the maximum allotment.
"Version 7.5 not only introduces many exciting new features," said Dr. Andrew Ury, founder and president of Practice Partner, "but it also establishes a foundation for full integration between our clinical and administration systems."
