Practice Partner One of the Most Widely Used EHRs According to Medical Economics Survey

03/08/2005 Seattle, WA — The results of a recent Medical Economics physician survey found Practice Partner Patient Records to be one of the most widely used electronic health record (EHR) systems. The survey asked primary care physicians to name the EHR software that they currently use in their offices. Among practices with 3 to 10 physicians, Practice Partner Patient Records from Practice Partner was named more than any other system. Patient Records was also the third most commonly named EHR among all respondents (including physicians at large enterprise organizations and at solo practices).

The survey of family physicians, internists, og/gyns, and pediatricians included more than 1,900 physician responses. The results also indicate an increased physician interest in EHR technology. One in four physicians responded that they plan to buy an EHR within the next twelve months.

“The results of this and other recent physician surveys reflect our proven experience with helping physician practices successfully implement electronic health records and practice management software,” said Andrew Ury, M.D., founder and president of Practice Partner. “We are also encouraged by the number of physicians recognizing that the right EHR can help their practice increase productivity and improve quality of care.”
